Foremost, you simply can’t beat the honesty and professionalism of K’s Tire. I have bought two sets of tires at great prices as well as used their service for flats and used tires. Tell me a place you can go to and ask them to evaluate your vehicle for repair and they tell you everything is good with no up sale. Honest, yes.

My friend had new tires purchased for her at K's Tires recently and they were put on her car at K's. Within one day they started losing air and even more air was lost in these new tires by the next day. When she went back to K's Tires, the day after the tires were purchased and put on her car, owner, Jimmy was disrespectful to her and although his tire tech/mechanic could see air in the tires were at 32 psi, (this was measured), down from the air pressure the previous day (at 40 psi), Jimmy refused to own up to the fact that there was a air leak. He didn't check the tires out for an air leak but only disrespected my friend, said there's nothing wrong with the tires, told her she's crazy and told her to leave and never to return. This was his sorry and low life response to this situation. He showed no respect, no professionalism but acted like a crook and low life person. My friend then went to All4Tires to have the tires checked out and they found air leaks and sealed them. Jimmy, owner of K's Tires, is dishonest, shady and disrespectful when he wants to be. He clearly doesn't guarantee his products or service. I'm also aware that about 9 months ago, my friend had noises in her steering wheel and when she went to K's Tires, Jimmy said it was the rack and pinion boot and said the repair would be about $1,000 and made it sound like the repair was urgently needed, telling her that power steering fluid was being lost, although it was not. My friend went to two other mechanics at different shops and they looked at this and said that this repair does not need to be made immediately and that she could drive at least another year without making this repair, that it wasn't urgent. The steering noise in her car disappeared in 2 or 3 days and she learned it was from air in the power steering fluid. I think Jimmy at K's Tires is dishonest and he will grossly disrespect someone if he chooses, even an older woman, who my friend is. There's no excuse for his behavior. My friend didn't pay for these tires but someone else did but that's not important. All that is important is that new tires were purchased and put on and the tires and service should have been quality but it was not. Shame on Jimmy at K's Tires. He acted like a low life and crook.

Good afternoon. There are always two sides to every story. When your friend came to our shop on Friday she blocked our bay doors with her car and insisted from the outset that I had sold her defective tires. I personally checked the tire pressures with the same gauge each day and the gauge read the same as it had the day before. Another technician did check with another gauge (a digital one) and it read 3 PSI lower than mine. That wasn’t enough of a variance in my opinion since my gauge read the same as the day before. All of our gauges read two or three psi variance or difference as they do in most shops with a digital verses an old style pocket gauge like what I used. I tried explaining this to your friend and was told to put her old tires back at that moment which I declined to do. Her old tires were very worn and not safe to be on the road. We never told your friend she needed a rack and pinion but keep good records of those types of conversations and will admit we were wrong if we were. I make mistakes and am very human. I personally regret the way the conversation ended with your friend. Things escalated on both sides especially once I tried to explain to her about the way tire pressure gauges vary and once she called me a crook. I trust that her tire and automotive needs will be met better elsewhere. Have a great day.

BEWARE!!! My son needed a new tire. His was damaged by something in the road while in Lawrence. They sold him a new tire but when he went back for them to mount it in place of his spare, they told him he needed to to it himself. Nor, did they align the tires when he asked. I've never heard of such a thing!!!

Business reply to this review:

I am truly shocked and appalled by this review. Not only is this not true but I would never tell anyone to mount their own tire. If I sold you a tire and didn’t mount it please come for a full refund. And I have never declined doing an alignment. Please check and see if you don’t have us confused with another shop. And if what you are saying is true please tell me what employee it was that told you to mount your own tire because he needs to look for another job.
